Put the glass down now!

Once, there was a teacher who held a glass in front of his class. He asked his students,

"How much do you think that this glass of mine weighs? 100 grams, 200, 250?".

One stood up and answered, "Sir, we won't really know how much it weighs unless we weigh it."

The teacher said, "That's correct but I have a question, what would happen if I held it up like this?"
.

His students answered, "Nothing sir!". "Good!" the teacher said, but what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?".

One student answered, "Your arm would start to ache".

The teacher said, "That is right! Now, what would happen if I held the glass up for the whole day?".

Another student answered, "Your arm could go numb and you might have severe muscle stress and paralysis!" and another added, "You might even have to go to the hospital if that happens".

The teacher was pleased and said, "Well done! But during all this, did the weight of the glass changed?".

"No", they said.

The teacher said, "In that case, what might cause the muscle stress and/or paralysis may hurt me. So, what do you think should I do to avoid that from happening?".

A young man at the back of the class stood up and said, "Put the glass down!".

"Exactly!" said the teacher.

Problems in life is like this. You hold them for a while in your head and they seem alright but when you keep them for a very long time, you get the feeling of being helpless and alone. The bible says,

Matthew 6:34 (New International Version)

34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
You do not need to take care of problems! Problems are just obstacles that we need to pass in order to gain something. Remember this, whenever you're in a tight spot, it just means that a blessing is just right at the corner! It's a blessing in disguise!
