May 21, 2011: End of the world?

Ok, so I was just browsing along the internet as this stunning article stopped me. The article was from March 2011 but I find it interesting because today is May 20, 2011 and I just stumbled upon this article today. The preacher's name is Harold Camping. He is proclaiming that the world will end in May 21st at around 6pm. Here's an excerpt from the article:

Once, there was a teacher who held a glass in front of his class. He asked his students,

"How much do you think that this glass of mine weighs? 100 grams, 200, 250?".

One stood up and answered, "Sir, we won't really know how much it weighs unless we weigh it."

Being tempted?

To start thing off, the term 'virtual' has been defined in philosophy as "that which is not real" but may display the salient qualities of the real. Colloquially, 'virtual' is used to mean almost, particularly when used in the adverbial form e.g. "That's virtually[almost] impossible".



As technology grows, more and more games have been developed by programmers e,g. Second Life, Ragnarok Online, Angels Online, et cetera ...  I know that the first thing in your mind is that only teenagers play these kind of games and the same thing with me but I've just seen an episode in Discovery Science in which they discussed about this virtual thing. Well, I found out that not only kids play games but adults play too. Given the example of the picture above, most adults and of course kids play the game too.
